About Tommy

Tommy attended and graduated Western Alamance High School in 1988. He followed his father and uncle into the automotive graphics business at Auto Trim Design until 1992. Tommy followed and was trained by his uncle (Ricky Clayton) in the fine art of Paintless Dent Repair at Dent Works in Greensboro NC. Tommy received advanced training with industry veterans Jerry and Robert Powell (who trained Tommy's uncle). He is one of the few PDR technicians in the state of North Carolina that is actually third-party certified and one of the few technicians in the country certified by two independent organizations. Tommy is married with four children. He devotes much time to his Christian beliefs and volunteers much of his time for activities revolving around his faith. He also enjoys golf and watching sports. He has worked on several race teams and helped capture a championship in 1995. Tommy regularly drives the pace car at Ace Speedway and has driven for Cars tour and USAC events. Tommy has performed PDR repairs on current Nascar drivers and team members personal cars, along with Hall of Fame Drag Racing Stars vehicles. NBA and NFL players have chosen Tommy to repair their vehicles.

Tommy's commitment to the Paintless Dent Repair Industry is second to none. Tommy helped found the industry trade association, National Alliance of PDR Technicians (NAPDRT). He has served on the Board of Directors since the inception of the organization serving as Secretary and three terms as President. Tommy also has served on the Collision Division Operations Committee of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) for five years. He has traveled across the country to attend trade shows, conduct seminars, and meet with legislators to discuss and educate concerning issues relating to the Paintless Dent Repair industry and collision industry. Tommy, also, has had the privilege to regularly contribute articles to the industry periodical, Mobile Tech News. He has been featured in 4 of the largest collision industry publications; Auto Inc Magazine,  Fender Bender Magazine, Auto Body Repair News, and Body Shop Business Magazine. Tommy was chosen to run the International Dent Olympics and served as a judge for several years. He still serves as a consultant and helps with behind the scenes organization for the event. Tommy has been called upon to demonstrate the Vale PDR Certification for the Collision industry at the annual collision industry event, NACE.
